Nature and purpose of IRAD
IRAD is a private-law institute, dependent on SEOR/FEOR, whose purpose is fundamentally research-based, cultural, private, charitable-educational in nature and permanent in character.
IRAD’s objective is the development of research in Radiation Oncology and of continuing education and teaching for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all neoplastic diseases, all on an altruistic and non-profit basis.
IRAD’s purposes are aligned with those of SEOR/FEOR, as established in their respective statutes, and refer to their research and teaching activities linked to the promotion of research and education in Radiation Oncology, as well as to the prevention and treatment of all oncological diseases for the benefit of patients who suffer from them, understood within the broad context of Biomedical Sciences.
IRAD purposes
- Biomedical research
Implement, develop and promote biomedical research activities framed mainly within the field of Radiation Oncology, under conditions of quality and near excellence that enable the translation of results into the prevention and resolution of related health problems. - Teaching and innovation
Promote academic training in research and innovation for radiation oncologists in order to provide the best possible healthcare to patients with neoplastic diseases, from a multidisciplinary mission with national and international scope. - Clinical impact
Act with the aim of achieving results with a clear and rapid clinical impact on the most relevant neoplastic diseases due to their prevalence and their effect on patient survival, quality of life and wellbeing.
Terms of use
The domain names irad.es are owned by FEOR Research in Radiation Oncology and their exclusive use is reserved for this entity.
The official portal of FEOR Research in Radiation Oncology is www.irad.es, and its purpose is to provide the public with information about the activities carried out by our organisation and the services it provides.
Access to and use of this website is the sole responsibility of users and implies acceptance and awareness of the legal notices, conditions and terms of use contained herein, without prejudice to any specific conditions that may apply to certain services offered through the website.
If the user does not agree with all or part of these conditions and terms, they must refrain from using the website.
User commitments
In order to use and browse IRAD websites, users must meet the following conditions:
- Be 16 years of age or older, or be 14 years of age and have parental or guardian consent.
- Have the capacity to enter into a binding agreement with our organisation and not be prohibited from doing so by any applicable law.
- Be resident in Spain.
All information provided by the user through the services must be truthful. The user guarantees the authenticity of all data communicated as a result of using certain services.
Likewise, it shall be the user’s responsibility to keep all information provided to IRAD permanently updated, so that it reflects the user’s actual situation at all times.
The user undertakes to make proper use of the website and the tools provided, in accordance with the law, this Legal Notice and the instructions and notices communicated to them.
The user undertakes to use the website and all its content exclusively for lawful and non-prohibited purposes that do not infringe current legislation, harm the legitimate rights of IRAD or any third party, or cause any direct or indirect damage or harm.
The user shall refrain from using any of the website content for unlawful purposes or effects, purposes prohibited in this Legal Notice, purposes harmful to the rights and interests of third parties, or purposes that may damage, disable, overload, impair or prevent the normal use of the website, computer equipment, documents, files and content stored on any computer equipment belonging to IRAD, other users or any Internet user.
The expression “website content” includes, without limitation, data, texts, graphics, images, animations, musical creations, videos, sounds, drawings, photographs and other elements included therein, as well as all creations expressed by any tangible or intangible medium or format.
Intellectual and industrial property
All elements that make up the website, including texts, images, content, structure, design, source code, logos, trademarks and other distinctive signs appearing on it, are originally or derivatively owned by IRAD or its collaborators and are protected by the corresponding intellectual and industrial property rights.
The use of or granting of access to the website does not confer any rights over the trademarks, trade names or any other distinctive signs used on it.
Their exploitation, use, reproduction, distribution, public communication, transformation or any other similar or analogous activity is strictly prohibited unless prior and express authorisation has been granted by IRAD.
IRAD expressly prohibits the creation of “framings” or the use by third parties of any other mechanisms that alter the design, original configuration or content of its portals.
Liability
IRAD does not guarantee the absence of errors in access to the website or in its content, nor that such content is up to date, although it makes every effort to avoid, correct or update them where appropriate.
Both access to IRAD portals and any use that may be made of the information contained therein are the sole responsibility of the person carrying it out.
IRAD is not responsible for any possible security errors that may occur or for any damage that may be caused to the user’s computer system, files or stored documents as a result of the presence of viruses on the computer used to connect to the services and content of the website, browser malfunction or the use of outdated browser versions.
IRAD is also not responsible for any damage that may arise from interference, omissions, interruptions, failures or disconnections in the operational functioning of the electronic system or in users’ computer devices and equipment, caused by circumstances beyond IRAD’s control.
IRAD declares that it has adopted and, where appropriate, will adopt the necessary measures to ensure the proper functioning of the website and to prevent any damage that may arise for users from browsing its websites. Consequently, IRAD is not responsible for any potential damage that users may suffer as a result of browsing the Internet.
IRAD is not responsible for information and content stored, by way of example but not limitation, in forums, chats, blogs, comments, social networks or any other medium that allows third parties to publish content independently on the IRAD website.
In compliance with the provisions of the LSSI, IRAD makes itself available to all users, authorities and security forces, actively collaborating in the removal or, where appropriate, blocking of any content that may affect or contravene national or international legislation, third-party rights, morality or public order.
If the user considers that there is any content on the website that may fall within this classification, they are requested to contact IRAD.

The IRAD website may provide users with links that allow access to websites owned or managed by third parties. The purpose of such links is solely to facilitate the search for and access to resources and information that may be of interest on the Internet.
Such pages do not belong to IRAD. IRAD does not review or exercise any kind of control over their content and therefore assumes no responsibility for the content, information or services that may appear on such sites.
IRAD also cannot be held responsible for the operation, technical availability, accuracy, reliability, truthfulness, validity or legality of pages not owned by it that may be accessed through links, nor for any damage that may arise from accessing or using the linked page.
The user assumes, under their sole responsibility, the consequences, damages or actions that may arise from accessing such pages. IRAD recommends exercising particular caution when assessing and using the information, content and services available on linked pages.
